How Lane3 works
You enter best times, a few academic details and a family income range. Lane3 compares those times with recruiting benchmarks for each program — real roster times where they have been entered by hand, otherwise a division-level average — and groups schools as Target, Reach or Safety. Alongside each school it estimates what a family in your income range might pay per year, starting from the school's published cost of attendance where one exists, then subtracting typical need-based aid, academic merit aid and the athletic aid that school reports federally. Every figure carries a label saying where it came from, so you can see what is real and what is still an estimate.
These are planning comparisons, not outcomes. Lane3 does not predict recruiting, admission, scholarships or a final price, and actual costs depend on admission, aid offers, enrollment choices and family circumstances. Your entries stay private to your account.
