Terms of Service
Last updated September 30, 2026
These terms cover your use of Lane3, a planning tool for high-school swimmers and their families. They are written plainly on purpose — many Lane3 users are teenagers. By creating an account or using Lane3, you agree to what follows.
Who you are contracting with
Lane3 is operated under the business name Lane3 ("Lane3", "we"), which publishes trylane3.com and is the seller of the Lane3 Season Pass. These terms are an agreement between you and Lane3. You must be old enough to agree to them: age 13 or older, and if you are under 18, with a parent or guardian involved. If you accept these terms for an organization such as a club or school, you confirm you may bind it.
Who Lane3 is for
Lane3 is for student-athletes age 13 and older, and their parents or guardians. Creating an account asks for a date of birth. If it shows an age under 13, Lane3 does not create the account and asks a parent or guardian to contact us first. Accounts for ages 13–17 are marked as a minor's account. Lane3 relies on the date entered and cannot independently verify it.
Estimates and planning information only
Lane3 provides estimates and planning information. Lane3 does not guarantee recruiting outcomes, roster spots, admission, financial aid, or scholarships. Nothing in Lane3 is an offer, a commitment from any college, or professional financial, legal, or recruiting advice.
You verify before you decide
You are responsible for independently verifying everything Lane3 displays — costs, recruiting times, aid estimates, deadlines, and program details — with the school, governing body, or official source before making any decision. Lane3 labels where each figure comes from so you know what to check.
No affiliation
Lane3 is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, or any specific college, university, conference, or athletics program. School and organization names appear only to identify programs you may be researching.
Acceptable use
Use Lane3 for your own planning. Do not scrape it, resell its output, attempt to reach other users' data, or use it to misrepresent an athlete's times or academic record.
Payment, pricing, and the Season Pass
Lane3's free view is available without payment. The Lane3 Season Pass is a one-time purchase of $39 USD — it is not a subscription, nothing renews, and there is nothing to cancel. For this cycle, access under a pass is valid through the 2026–2027 recruiting cycle. Team access is granted by a coach's team code and is not charged to families. Prices are shown on the pricing page before you buy, and applicable taxes are shown at checkout. Lane3 may change prices for future purchases; a purchase you have already made is not affected.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Your purchase is therefore also subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms, which govern payment, billing, tax and returns. Refunds are covered by Lane3's refund policy.
Lane3 offers a 14-day money-back guarantee for the Season Pass. If Lane3 doesn't surface at least 3 realistic college swim programs that fit your swimmer's times and your family's budget, email hello@trylane3.com within 14 days of your order date for a 100% full refund.
Ownership and your licence to use Lane3
Lane3 owns the service and everything in it — the software, the matching and estimate methods, the written guides, the branding and the compiled data sets. You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Lane3 for your own family's planning within the view your account includes. You may not copy, resell, redistribute or republish Lane3's output, reverse engineer it, or work around its limits. What you enter (your times, grades and notes) remains yours; you grant Lane3 permission to store and process it only to provide the service to you.
Suspension and termination
Lane3 may suspend or close an account for a material breach of these terms, for non-payment or a reversed payment, for fraud or a security risk, or for repeated or serious misuse. Where it is reasonable to do so, Lane3 will tell you why and give you a chance to fix it. You can stop using Lane3 and close your account at any time. When access ends, your account data is deleted as described below.
Your data, deletion, and closing your account
You can edit or clear your profile at any time. You can download your data or delete your account and everything attached to it from My plan, or email hello@trylane3.com from your account address; Lane3 will remove it, generally within a few days. The privacy policy explains what is collected and why.
Availability
Lane3 is provided as-is. Features may change, pause, or be removed, and data coverage varies by school.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lane3 is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions made in reliance on its estimates. Lane3's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid Lane3 in the 12 months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars ($100) if you paid nothing.
Changes to these terms
Lane3 may update these terms. If a change is material, account holders will be notified by email and the date above will change. Continuing to use Lane3 after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Texas.
